My reflection 19.09.21

Yesterday I was going back home by bus and I saw a situation which was interesting but disappointing at the same time. There were some people who didn't have their masks on. It wasn't anything new to me and normally I wouldn't pay attention to them if not one elderly woman who made a whole speech about wearing masks in public spaces and asked them to put the coverings on. Of course she was right because how else are we supposed to limit the spread of the virus. Sadly most of the people didn't listen to her and they still had their noses uncovered.

That situation made me realize how selfish people are. They only think about themselves and about their own comfort. It's devastating that a huge part of our society doesn't think about the public well-being. But it's not only caring about some strangers on the bus but also about their families, children, friends or parents. Why don't people care about their loved ones? Why doesn't it matter to them if their family is healthy or not?

  1. And how do you see the situation at our school? Half of the students and many teachers (myself included) don't wear masks in the halls. As far as I am concerned, I just don't see the point in wearing a mask when I mix with the same people in the classrooms later on. But of course, you're right.
