Pfizer/BioNTech Covid jab may be offered to 12-year-olds in Europe from June 29.04.21

There's a huge probability that children over 12 year old will be able to the get the Pfizer vaccine. The jab is already allowed in the USA and the UE for 16-year-olds. So far, all the tests on the kids have gone well and there have been no complications. If everything goes fine, children will be able to vaccinate since June. In my opinion, it's such a good and uplifting news. Maybe if children and teenagers were vaccinated, it would be safer to go to school and meet in larger groups. It's obvious that a lot of young (and not only) people miss their friends and they really would like to go back to schools. Also that would be a big relief for parents, who sometimes can't stay with their kids at home. But I'm worried that sending children to school until they are vaccinated is not good for the current pandemic situation.

Derek Chauvin found guilty of murder of George Floyd 22.04.21

In May 2020 Derek Chauvin - a  white former  Minneapolis  police officer  killed George Floyd by kneeling on his neck for about ten minutes. After that horrible situation people all around the world, especially in the USA, started protests in support of racial justice and the movement Black Lives Matter. Almost a year after George Floyd's death Chauvin has been convicted of murder of   second and third-degree .  Benjamin Crump who is a lawyer for the Floyd family, said in a statement: “Justice for Black America is justice for all of America." Many Americans feel relived because as Floyd's brother  said  " as an African American, we usually never get justice.”   I think that Chauvin's conviction is the right decision because he committed a very serious crime. It is terrifying, sad and very unfair that a white person who commit a crime is treated less severely than a black person doing the same thing. I trust that some ...

Sister of man who died after AstraZeneca jab urges public to have vaccine 08.04.21

Dr Alison Astles was a sister of  Neil Astles - a man who died after his first shot of AstraZeneca vaccine. He was given a first dose on 17th March and then started having  horrible headaches and vision loss.  H e passed away in hospital almost three weeks after taking the vaccine. D espite her brother's death, the woman continues to encourage people to vaccinate.  The statistics show that  the overall risk of blood clots is approximately four people in a million who receive the AstraZeneca vaccine.     I agree with Alison Astles and I think that taking the vaccine is one of a few ways to stop the spread of the virus. Of course we are not sure in 100% if the jab works however in my opinion it's better to get vaccinated than not. Obviously there's always a risk but data show that it's really small and after all, the number of people who died after the jab is much smaller than the number of people who died because of Covid-19.
