Japanese desserts
Hi! In this post I will describe some of the most popular desserts in Japan. Sounds yummy, right?
So, the first of them is named Botchan-Dango. It consists of three colourful balls skewered on a wood stick. It's based on the rice flour. Each of these three balls is in different colour: red (made from red bean paste), green (made from green tea) and yellow (prepared with eggs). This traditional Japanese dessert goes perfectly with afternoon tea.
The second Japanese dessert is called Dorayaki. It is a pancake made from castella (a specialty soft cake) which is filled with red bean paste. Probably the original name of it is Dora. Sometimes in different parts of Japan Doraki may have individual name.
And the last one is called Taiyaki - a fish-shaped cake. The outside layer is made from pancakes or waffles. The filling inside is mostly prepared from red beans but it can be also made from chocolate, sweet potatoes, cheese filling or vanilla pudding. The cake is named after the fish Tai.

I've only tried something called Mochi (looks similar to the first one) and, to be honest, I didn't fall in love with it. I hope the others taste better. Have you tried them?
